The District and the Yolo Subbasin Groundwater Agency (YSGA) are recruiting for two new positions! We are looking for qualified candidates to apply to join our hardworking and dynamic team to help us fulfill our mission provide and protect sustainable water supplies that support the agricultural, economic, and environmental well being of Yolo County.
We are looking for an Outreach and Public Relations Specialist to lead and coordinate outreach, communications, and build and maintain stakeholder engagement to support the District’s and YSGA’s surface and groundwater sustainability projects and regulatory compliance efforts.
The YSGA and the District are also recruiting for a Groundwater Technical Supervisor to oversee Sustainable Groundwater Management Act implementation efforts and support groundwater recharge efforts.

Irrigation Operations Worker Wanted!
The District is currently recruiting for an Irrigation Operations Worker (aka Ditchtender) to join our team! Persons in this position help to fulfill the District’s central mission to provide water to farmers, and they also work on small and medium-sized construction projects to help keep the water flowing. We’re looking for people with 3-5 years of experience in irrigation, agriculture, construction, or a related field. Because personnel in this position are called upon to respond to emergency situations in the field, priority is given to applicants who live within a fifteen-mile radius of the District office.

Irrigation Operations Worker Job Announcement
Indian Valley Campground Open for Camping Season: NO OHVs ALLOWED
Indian Valley Campground has reopened for the camping season. Visitors should be aware that no OHVs are allowed in the campground. OHVs riders have continuously disobeyed campground rules and negatively impacted the camping experience of others, therefore they are no longer allowed in the campground.
All visitors should be aware of the following:
- Day use and camping fees apply:
- $10 for day use per vehicle (includes boat launch)
- $20 per night for campers per vehicle (includes boat launch)
- Payment is either cash or check; no credit card processing is available
- Pay at the iron ranger at the stop sign upon entry
- All water for personal needs (drinking, washing, etc.) needs to be brought in
- All non-car-top boats need to have a Lake County mussel screening sticker prior to launching
- Visitors are responsible for following campground rules as posted.
